A local hardwood supplier in my town had a small stack of Zebrawood boards that had tempted me since the first day I stepped foot in their warehouse. Zebrawood isn't known for being a tonewood, but this guitar is a fine example of how using alternative woods can change the character of a classical guitar in positive ways. The sound of this guitar is very focused. The guitar delivers a very rich sound with a light touch while the tone gets very powerful and focused when played with a heavy rest stroke style. I find that the combination of this guitar's clarity, focus and sustain creates a separation of voices that brings attention to every voice and harmonic detail in the music it plays.
